Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish thou the work of our hands upon us, yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Psalm 90:17

What is VTF?

Vision Through Faith 2050 is Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral’s long-term strategic initiative created to guide the future growth of the parish, its ministries, and its campuses for generations to come. Born from a desire to build upon more than a century of faith, fellowship, and service, the initiative brings together parish leadership and members to create a clear, sustainable vision for the future of Holy Trinity. Through thoughtful planning and stewardship, Vision Through Faith seeks to strengthen Orthodox Christian life, expand opportunities for ministry and community engagement, preserve the church’s rich heritage, and ensure that Holy Trinity continues to thrive as a spiritual home for future generations.

VTF: Logo

The Vision Through Faith 2050 logo is rooted in the image of the burning bush, a symbol of calling, commitment, and faithful response. Just as Moses was drawn toward God’s presence, this initiative represents a willingness to step beyond the familiar and follow where God is leading, trusting in His light to guide the way forward.

Each element of the logo carries intentional meaning:

Deep Roots reflect the foundation of living Orthodoxy—where we come from, how we are nourished spiritually, and what keeps us grounded. The cross woven into the roots reminds us that everything we do is sustained by God.

Enduring Faith is represented by the trunk, symbolizing the Word of God—strong, steady, and resilient. It stands as our constant connection to the Father and an anchor for what it means to truly be the Church.

Bold Future is seen in the burning bush, representing the promise and path illuminated by God. Like the bush that burns without being consumed, it reflects both God’s presence and His protection, calling us forward with confidence and hope.

Together, these elements form a visual expression of our journey—deeply rooted, firmly grounded, and boldly moving toward the future God has prepared.

VTF: Phase 1

Phase 1 of Vision Through Faith 2050 focused on listening to the parish community and gathering feedback about the future of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Through surveys, meetings, and community conversations, parishioners were invited to share their thoughts, concerns, and hopes regarding ministries, facilities, growth, and long-term priorities.

This phase was designed to ensure that the planning process began with the voices of the community rather than predetermined solutions. As Holy Trinity continues to grow, it is important to better understand both the strengths of the parish today and the needs that may arise in the future.

Phase 1 laid the foundation for the entire Vision Through Faith 2050 process by helping create a shared understanding of where the parish currently stands and where the community hopes to go in the years ahead.Key Findings:

Key findings from Phase 1 included a strong desire to preserve the spiritual and cultural identity of the parish while also preparing for future growth. Parishioners consistently expressed that the East Blvd campus should remain the heart of Holy Trinity’s worship and community life. Common themes included the need for expanded youth and educational spaces, improved parking and traffic flow, updated facilities, additional gathering areas, and long-term planning that supports both ministry and community life.
