CHARLOTTE – Close to 300 GOYAns and hundreds of spectators gathered in Charlotte, North Carolina during President’s Day Weekend for the Seventh Annual Queen City Classic basketball tournament. Hosted by the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, communities from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia participated in this year’s classic. GOYANs competed in skills competitions during Friday night’s welcome events which preceded the live bracket selections. Saturday’s tournament was hosted at one venue which afforded all parishioners, youth and adults, to enjoy all of the action under one roof and share in fellowship with one another.
A glendi was hosted Saturday evening at the parish of St. Nektarios and included dancing, dining, and bonding amongst the attendees.
Championship Sunday began with worship followed by three entertaining games for the Junior Boys, Girls, and Senior Boys Divisions. Congratulations to our 2024 QCC Champs:
